Sewage Cleanup

Sewage can carry many viruses and harmful types of bacteria like E. coli and salmonella. While all cases of water damage should be treated carefully, the serious risks that sewage spills pose to your health mean that these issues need to be handled with urgency.

Our cleanup process begins with an immediate assessment of the damage. We use industry-grade equipment to extract standing sewage and water right away.

After sewage removal, we thoroughly disinfect all affected areas using a plant-based biocide that’s safe for humans and pets. However, it’s crucial to understand that cleaning likely isn’t enough to completely treat the area. Materials that can absorb contaminants, like carpet, drywall, and insulation should be cut away and replaced with new materials.

Upon your approval, SOS will remove and dispose of the affected, non-salvageable materials. We will then spray and treat the exposed areas with a second round of biocide, also known as antimicrobial, to eliminate and prevent the growth and amplification of harmful microorganisms and toxins. Once treated, we will set drying equipment to remove any remaining moisture and prepare the area(s) for reconstruction.
